The study will address the following research goals: (1) To provide a comprehensive description of the well-being of older adults in Iran, Lebanon, and Egypt. (2) To understand the extent to which fertility and labor force participation of women can be predicted by community factors. (3) To estimate the causal effects of cumulative fertility and labor force participation of women on well-being at older ages. (4) To prepare for the collection of new data informed by the results of the first three Aims on the determinants of well-being of women in Upper Egypt.
