Hospital Inpatient Program

The hospital has 2 specialized wards for geriatric patients [1]

These wards are located in the main hospital.

These type of inpatient program is a brief, acute treatment program designed to provide acute care to gero-psychiatric patients with psychiatric symptoms co-occurring with medical disorders and respite for families & care givers.

Outpatient Clinic Program

This program targets patients between the ages of 55-65 on patient or referrer request.[2]

Clinic services may include comprehensive and multidisciplinary biopsychosocial evaluation pharmacologic evaluation and management.psychological and brief neuropsychological assessment.safety and independent living living skills evaluationstabilization of the patient's acute psychiatric conditions.Crises oriented family therapy and psychoeducation;care giver supportpsychosocial rehabilitation /recreational therapy .Common Problems seen in the elderly Cognitive disorders dementia, Major depressive disorder and anxiety, Psychiatric conditions due to a general medical condition Delirium; psychoses………
