Abstract: Recent concern about elder abuse prompted a great deal of research on the characteristics and risk factors for abuse. Most of this research, however, centered on the abuse of older persons living in a community based setting so the aim of the study is to examine the impact of elderly abuse on their satisfaction with life. An analytic cross-sectional design was followed, the study subjects was 50 elder persons from Dar Elsaada geriatric home in Tanta City. Two tools were developed and modified by the researchers through review of literature and used for data collection, interview questionnaire & Life Satisfaction Index. The results of this study show that only age had statistically significant correlations with satisfaction scores. It is evident that satisfaction had weak positive correlations with satisfaction with activities.
